Students celebrated Earth Day at the AB Tech spring festival on Wednesday. They hung out with friends, connected with campus clubs, and enjoyed the sunshine.

Year 1 through 4 BCCI students work to create their personalized pathway materials to be shared at upcoming events, including the WNC Career Expo and the BCCI Showcase. Each student is creating a student profile w/ resume to be shared with community partners and potential employers, as well as a more detailed backboard for display at the BCCI Showcase.

We are pleased to announce that our very own Ms. Anneliese Shreve earned the Teacher of the Year for the entire Buncombe County School District. “I am humbled and surprised. We work in such an incredible district and to be representing all these incredible teachers is such a tremendous honor,” said Ms. Shreve. Good morning, BCS families.
Our Transportation crews have continued to monitor travel conditions this morning. Due to deteriorating travel conditions and the number of secondary roads impacted by snow and ice, for the safety of our bus riders, teen drivers, parents, and staff members, all Buncombe County Schools will now be closed today, Tuesday, March 17, 2026. It will be an Optional Teacher Workday. Students will not participate in remote learning.
