Students at Clyde A. Erwin High School took an important step toward planning their futures during the school’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Career Fair.

The event brought together local colleges, businesses, organizations, and community professionals to give students a firsthand look at the many opportunities available to them after high school. Throughout the fair, students asked questions, made connections, explored equipment used in different industries, and learned about the education and skills needed to pursue a variety of careers.
Career fairs like this give students an opportunity to move beyond the classroom and connect what they are learning through CTE with real-world possibilities. Whether students are considering college, entering the workforce, pursuing specialized training, or still discovering what interests them, these conversations can help them begin building a path forward.

At Buncombe County Schools, CTE programs help students develop practical skills, explore pathways, and make meaningful connections with professionals in their communities. The Erwin High CTE Career Fair was another opportunity for students to discover what is possible and take the next step toward becoming college and career ready.
