A.C. Reynolds Middle School (ACRMS) is celebrating School Resource Officer (SRO) Alex Morice, who was recently recognized as a Servant Officer for his commitment to serving students and the school community.

Before beginning his career in law enforcement, Officer Morice was an educator. His passion for helping young people continues to guide his work today as an SRO. He chose a new career path centered on serving others, especially students who may need a trusted adult in their corner.

At ACRMS Officer Morice is known for going the extra mile to build meaningful relationships with students. Whether he is offering encouragement, lending a listening ear, or simply being a familiar and supportive presence in the hallways, he works to make sure students know they have someone they can turn to.

His background in education gives him a unique perspective on the important role relationships play in helping students feel safe, supported and valued at school.

Congratulations, Officer Morice on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you for your continued dedication to the students and staff of ACRMS.

Buncombe County Schools also extends its gratitude to all of our SROs who serve our schools each day. Thank you for protecting, encouraging, and building relationships with our students while helping create safe and welcoming school communities.
