Students in A.C. Reynolds High School’s automotive program recently had the opportunity to learn from graduates who once sat in the same classroom and are now building successful careers in the automotive industry. 

A couple Reynolds alumni returned to campus to speak with current students about the many career opportunities available after high school. Now employed at Fred Anderson Toyota, the graduates shared their personal journeys from high school to automotive professionals, offering valuable insight into what it takes to succeed in the field. 

During their visit, they discussed the importance of hands-on learning, developing strong work habits, and taking advantage of opportunities offered through career and technical education programs. They also answered students’ questions about working in a dealership environment, career advancement opportunities, and the skills employers are looking for in today’s workforce. 

The visit provided students with a firsthand look at how the knowledge and experience gained in Reynolds automotive program can lead directly to rewarding careers. Hearing from former Rockets who have successfully transitioned into the workforce helped reinforce the value of career and technical education while inspiring students to pursue their own goals with confidence.
