Hammers, paintbrushes and plenty of smiles filled the gym at Weaverville Primary School as students celebrated a PBIS reward with a special hands-on building experience.

Thanks to the generosity of Home Depot, students built and painted wooden project kits while learning new skills and expressing their creativity. Home Depot representatives worked alongside family members and parent volunteers, helping students hammer tiny nails, choose colorful paint and brushes, and assemble each project from start to finish.

The activity was more than just a fun reward. It gave students the chance to create something with their own hands while spending time with caring adults who encouraged them every step of the way. The gymnasium buzzed with excitement as students proudly showed off their finished projects and admired one another's unique designs.

The event recognized students for demonstrating the positive behaviors and strong character that are part of Weaverville Primary's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program.

Weaverville Primary staff thanked Home Depot and the many family and parent volunteers whose time and support made the celebration possible. Partnerships like this help turn PBIS rewards into memorable experiences that students will remember long after the paint dries.
