This past school year, third graders at W.D. Williams Elementary took the stage to present “The Journey of Hope.”

The production and classroom presentations gave students the opportunity to dress from different countries and explore the experiences of children moving to new countries and learning to build friendships in new communities. Throughout the project, students discovered the importance of kindness, welcoming others, and embracing different cultures and perspectives.
Students spent weeks preparing for the performance by learning their lines, practicing songs, and working together to bring the story to life. Their hard work and enthusiasm were on full display as they confidently performed for families, classmates, and staff.
The performance was more than just a chance to shine on stage - it was an opportunity for students to strengthen their communication skills, build confidence, and celebrate the value of understanding and supporting each other.
