A line of people line the road clapping as a bus carrying the Sugar Jets pulls in

Even though the game was long over - and was played hours away - the Enka High softball field was lit late May 28, along with the road in front of the school. A charter bus carrying the softball team was escorted by the Highway Patrol, as the Sugar Jets returned from Durham after winning the North Carolina 5A Softball Championship.
