Fifth graders from across the Reynolds district traded their classrooms for the world of agriculture at A.C. Reynolds High School (ACRHS) Ag Day.

Hosted by the school's dedicated FFA (Future Farmers of America) students and teachers, the event brought learning to life through a variety of interactive stations designed to spark curiosity and connection. From the moment students arrived, they were immersed in experiences that showcased the many pathways within agriculture.
One of the biggest highlights? Getting up close with a variety of farm animals. Students had the chance to pet and observe animals while learning how they are cared for and the important roles they play on farms. Just steps away, another group of students rolled up their sleeves to plant seeds - getting a deeper understanding of how food begins its journey from soil to table.

Sweet learning was also on the agenda as students explored the world honey production. Across the field, sparks flew - literally - during a live welding demonstration. Students watched in awe as FFA members showcased their skills, introducing them to technical careers that are vital to the agricultural industry.
Throughout the day, laughter and friendly competition filled the air as students participated in games that reinforced what they were learning in fun and engaging ways.
Ag Day at ACRHS wasn’t just a field trip - it was an opportunity for younger students to see the many possibilities that agriculture offers. Thanks to the leadership of the FFA students and support of the teachers, these fifth graders walked away with new knowledge, unforgettable experiences, and maybe even inspiration for their future paths.
