Big things are happening for one Charles D. Owen High School senior.
Jordan Robertson is closing out her high school career on a high note after being named a recipient of the prestigious Morehead-Cain Scholarship, a full-ride opportunity to the University of North Carolina. This fall, she will head to Chapel Hill to pursue her passion for helping others as a nursing major.
The Morehead Scholarship is one of the most competitive and high regarded scholarships in the nation, recognizing students for their leadership, character, scholarship, and commitment to service - qualities Jordan has exemplified throughout her time at Owen High.
Reflecting on her journey, Jordan shared her gratitude for the support she’s received along the way.
“I am so thankful for all the support and encouragement I’ve been given at Owen High,” she said. “This is a testament to what can be done coming from a small town. It’s exciting to see how all these steps throughout my high school journey have led to something big.”
Jordan’s achievement not only highlights her dedication and hard work but also serves as an inspiration to her peers and the entire Owen community. As she prepares to take the next step toward a future in healthcare, there’s no doubt she will continue making a meaningful impact wherever she goes.
