Erwin High School wrapped up Career and Technical Education Month with a sweet lesson for its youngest learners.
Family and Consumer Sciences teacher Kady Rice, joined by her student Lily, invited students from the Erwin Learning Lab into the kitchen to make pancakes topped with fresh strawberries and homemade whipped cream. The students had a science lesson, including how to turn a liquid into a solid, and picked up some new vocabulary words, such as “whisk.”
The lesson ended with a chance to eat their culinary creations.
