Students in Susan Stanley Marino’s Theatre Arts class at Enka High School will take audiences on a fast-paced and comedic journey through Greek mythology with their upcoming production of The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza by playwright Don Zolidis.
The production features students from Marino’s fourth-period Theatre Arts class, along with additional student performers. After reading and reviewing several scripts, the students selected Zolidis’ play, a popular choice among school theatre programs for its humor and energetic storytelling.

The play follows Izzy and Clayton, two students tasked with a major Greek mythology project. What begins as a typical school assignment quickly spirals into chaos as they attempt to “wing it,” resulting in a series of over-the-top scenes that blend ancient myths with modern-day humor.
Senior Isabella Geier stars as Izzy, with junior Clayton Witsell portraying Clayton. The cast brings to life a wide range of Greek gods, heroes and legends, offering both entertainment and lighthearted educational moments for audiences of all ages.
Performances will take place tonight at 7 p.m., with two additional shows scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. All performances will be held at Enka High School. Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the door via cash or GoFan.

In addition to the public performances, the students will present a portion of the show for Enka Intermediate School students during a special Friday morning performance.
The production serves as a celebration of the end of the semester and showcases the creativity, collaboration and performance skills developed by Enka High School’s Theatre Arts students.
