T.C. Roberson High School has made a big splash with the grand opening of its brand-new Imagination Station, an underwater-themed learning and play space designed especially for the preschoolers in the school’s on-site daycare. What began as a class project quickly grew into a full-school collaboration - one that showcased the power of Career and Technical Education and the heart of the Rams community.

The moment the preschoolers stepped inside, their eyes widened. The walls shimmered with ocean colors, friendly fish, and coral reefs. A real fish tank bubbled in the corner as students ooohed and awed over the fish. Cozy reading nooks overflowed with picture books, and hands-on stations invited little explorers to build, play, imagine, and learn.

The transformation was truly a team effort. Early Childhood Education students had a vision to make the space something no one had seen before, and called in help from other Career and Technical students. Interior Design students created the concept and brought it to life - sketching layouts, selecting colors, and decorating every inch of the space to feel like a magical underwater world. To make the room even more immersive, woodworking students crafted coral-shaped cutouts, sanding and painting them to look like they were pulled straight from the sea floor.

Meanwhile, marketing students launch a school-wide flyer design contest to help promote the unveiling. The winning flyer was shared throughout the school and sent home with families. When opening day arrived, food and nutrition students stepped in to treat guests to sweet snacks and refreshing beverages.

The Imagination Station is more than a classroom upgrade - it’s a shining example of what happens when students use their skills to create something meaningful for the community. At T.C. Roberson, learning doesn’t just stay in the classroom. It builds something real, something lasting, and something magical for the next generation of Rams.
