Buncombe County Schools Virtual Academy (BCSVA) students traded their screens for strikes during a special in-person gathering at Sky Lanes. The event provided a unique opportunity for students of all ages to connect with their peers and teachers outside of the virtual classroom.

Laughter and friendly competition filled the bowling alley as students played alongside each other. Parents also joined in on the fun, making it an inclusive event for the entire BCSVA community.

“Our students see each other regularly online, but these in-person gatherings help build even stronger relationships,” said Principal Gina Toomey. “It’s great to see them interacting, having fun, and engaging their teachers and peers in a different setting.”
