At North Windy Ridge Intermediate School, sixth graders got creative in art class by designing their very own monster mugs. Students began the process in mid-September with designing the mugs and working with clay to shape and mold each feature of the pottery. Once students returned back to school  after Hurricane Helene, they began finishing their one of a kind art pieces.

From quirky grins to wild colors and imaginative textures, each mug reflected the unique personality of its artist. After putting the finishing touches on monstrous masterpieces, students celebrated their hard work by filling their mugs with warm, delicious hot chocolate. Sipping together, they admired each other’s creations and shared laughs, making it a memorable day filled with creativity and fun - one cozy cup at a time.
