🤖🧠 Johnston Elementary School's (JES) Mighty Bears had a fun, educational night for the whole family during STEAM Night last week.

On Nov. 6, the school gym rang with excitement as kids found hands-on ways to learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Community partners and teachers teamed up to deliver a variety of activities, like book and seed giveaways, science games, crafts, and even lessons about woodworking. The event drew a huge crowd and reminded everyone of the value that community schools provide.

“We want to reconnect, renew, and re-engage after the hurricane,” said JES Principal Angie Trantham. “This is the perfect opportunity for students, families, and staff to come back together at the school and see the positive things we’re doing here.”

Thanks to supporters of the event, including Zaniac, Rotary Club of Asheville South, Rotary Club of Asheville-Metro, Read 2 Succeed, Mountain Makers, and Kiwanis Club of Asheville.
