Owen High Students were thrilled with the Prom Dress selections brought to them by Universe United Miss North Carolina 2025, Reanna Ruark. The event was possibly the most fun ever related to the prom. We are so grateful that Reanna chose our school and our community to "blessus with the dressus"! The takeaway for these students is that people in this world do make a difference when they show they care about others and they bring joy when they work to make another persons life better. Looking forward to seeing these students at prom in their new dresses !

Lindsey Prather, representative for NC House District 115, presented Mrs. Smith's class with a NC flag that has flown over the state's capitol. She also worked with Mr. Pegg's class to teach a lesson about how a bill becomes law. She was easily able to slip on that educator hat, having been an educator herself teaching at Erwin High and Middle College.
