Buncombe County Middle College

Hi, My name Megan Coaplen and this is my fifth year as the School Counselor at Buncombe County Middle College.  I believe that all students can be successful and I am here to support the individual needs of each student.  I am available to help students navigate social/emotional skills, personal issues, career planning, and college planning. I am passionate about supporting students as they face life's challenges and triumph's. 

 I am a native of Asheville, NC and love calling our beautiful mountains home.  I have two beautiful sons and spend my time outside of school chasing after them and getting outdoors.  I graduated from University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2003 with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies.  In 2012 I graduated from Western Carolina University with a Masters of  Education in School Counseling.
